I read. It's not the only thing I do but it's thie thing that I do best and probably most. I love it. Reading something great fills me in a certain way that nothing else could and there is a certain breed of people out there who can relate to exactly what I'm saying. It's by far not the only thing in my life but it is a part of my daily life and it does have a specific role in my life. BUT. I can't only read books and ebooks and posts and blogs and magazines and anything else I can get my hands on all day and then just go to sleep easily and peacefully. Far from it, with all that information swimming in my head after a full day of absorbing words and thoughts and sentences, I have something to say.
I just can’t waittttt to start reading this book!! #theyoungelites #marielu #newbooks #octoberbooks #newrelease #booknerd #booklove #excited
It’s Mental Health Week next week and above are some of the many novels which deal with mental health/illness and social/emotional issues. If you can, read at least one of these books (or any book that deals with mental health) next week and post about it with the tag readformentalhealthweek. Raise awareness, reduce the stigma, educate yourself, support others, and take care of yourself!
Sometimes I can tell by page 4 that it’s going to be an amazing book. Enjoying each and every sentence so far! #currentlyreading #ataleforthetimebeing #timebeing #ruthozeki #booklove
I made a comic about what it feels like (to me) to cope with having an invisible illness and the judgements and accusations that sometimes come with invisible illnesses.
I did it in green ‘cause that’s the color of the Celiac Awareness ribbon Celiac is one of the “imaginary” “all in your head” “stupid” “hypochondriac” invisible illnesses I live with.
So here. Be nice to people in general, because it’s the right thing to do, but if you can’t at least do that then please don’t be an asshole when someone tells you that they have Lupus or Celiac or Fibromyalgia or any of the other things that we live with every day that you can’t see on the surface.
